Wildwych Oleander

Yep, she did it again! I had to call the vet on Monday because this little girl had a sore mouth (hyper salivation, she was dropping food and eating slowly). I had a look in it this weekend and couldn’t see anything wrong except a couple of Fox tails I took off her mouth. On Monday she wasn’t feeling really better so the vet came on Tuesday to have a look. At the beginning I was confused because she was eating so much better. I asked the vet to sedate her and have a look anyway, just to make sure. She couldn’t see anything wrong until she looked under her tongue. It was FULL of fox tails and it was lacerating her tongue. No wonder why she was not feeling great. So we took off everything and she went back to her pasture. Hopefully she’s learnt from her mistake and won’t try to eat that again… But I doubt that.

Ouaip, elle a recommencé ! J’ai dû appelé la véto lundi parce que cette petite demoiselle avait la bouche douloureuse (forte salivation, elle faisait tomber de la nourriture et mangeait doucement). J’ai jeté un coup d’oeil vite fait ce weekend mais je n’ai rien vu si ce n’est quelques épis de blé sauvage que j’ai enlevé de suite. Lundi elle n’allait pas vraiment mieux donc la véto est venue mardi pour regarder. Au début j’étais sceptique parce qu’elle mangeait mieux. J’ai quand même demandé à la véto de la tranquiliser et de regarder avec plus d’attention là dedans, juste pour être certaine. Elle ne voyait rien d’anormal jusqu’à ce qu’elle soulève la langue. C’était REMPLI d’épis de blé qui lui lacéraient la langue. Pas étonnant qu’elle n’allait pas fort… Donc on a terminé d’enlever les moindre petits épis, puis elle est retournée au pré. Avec un peu de chance, elle a compris la leçon et ne remangera pas de ça tout de suite… Mais je suis un peu dubitative quant à l’intelligence de ma ponette
